Thank you for booking with Xplora Overland Guatemala<\/b>.<\/p>

All our prices include full camping equipment, unlimited mileage, 24\/7 roadside assistance, and local support.<\/p>

By completing your booking you accept all our Terms & Conditions and agree to sign our Rental Agreement and related handover documents at the start of your trip.<\/p>

Driver\u2019s License & Age Requirements<\/b><\/p>

  • Drivers must present a valid, non-expired driver\u2019s license.<\/li>
  • No international driver\u2019s license is required for visitors from Europe, North America, Central & South America, or Oceania.<\/li>
  • Minimum driver\u2019s age: 23 years<\/b><\/li>
  • Additional drivers must also present their valid license to be covered by insurance.<\/li><\/ul>

    Pick-up & Drop-off<\/b><\/p>

    • Office hours: 8:00 a.m. \u2013 5:00 p.m.<\/b><\/li>
    • Free pick-up and drop-off at the Guatemala City Airport (GUA) area or pre-arranged locations.<\/li>
    • Please provide arrival time and flight number for airport pickups.<\/li>
    • Vehicles must be returned on the agreed date and time. Late returns without prior approval may result in additional charges, including loss of subsequent rental income.<\/li><\/ul>

      Payments & Liability<\/strong><\/p>

      • A booking is confirmed once the required payment has been completed through the online payment system provided on this website.<\/li>
      • All card payments are processed by the respective gateway.<\/li>
      • Bitcoin payments made via Blockonomics are processed directly.<\/li>
      • No credit card security deposit is blocked or pre-authorized. Instead, the renter agrees to a contractual liability (deductible), which represents the maximum financial responsibility in case of damage, loss, or theft, as outlined below.<\/li><\/ul>

        <\/strong>With CDW coverage:<\/strong><\/p>

        • USD 1,500.- deductible for small vehicles<\/li>
        • USD 2000.- deductible for large vehicles<\/li><\/ul>

          <\/strong>Without CDW coverage:<\/strong><\/p>

          • USD 2100.- deductible for small vehicle<\/li>
          • USD 2600.- deductible for large vehicles<\/li>
          • Exclusions: water damage, reckless driving, off-road misuse.<\/li><\/ul>

            \u2e3b<\/p>

            Insurance & Liability Notice<\/b><\/p><\/div>

            • Standard insurance (Third Party Liability and <\/strong>Collision Damage Waiver) does not cover off-road damage, underbody damage, tires, water damage, or recovery costs.<\/li>
            • Such damages are the renter\u2019s responsibility and are not limited by the deductible<\/b>.<\/li>
            • Full details are provided in the Rental Agreement signed at vehicle handover.<\/li><\/ul>

              \u2e3b<\/p>

              Driving Restrictions<\/b><\/p>

              • Driving on beaches, riverbeds, or protected natural areas is prohibited.<\/li>
              • No driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.<\/li>
              • On 4×4-only tracks: If recovery is needed, towing costs are the renter\u2019s responsibility until a standard road is reached.<\/li><\/ul>

                \u2e3b<\/p>

                Smoking Policy<\/b><\/p>

                • Smoking inside the vehicle or tents is strictly prohibited.<\/li>
                • A cleaning fee of USD 200<\/b> will apply for violations.<\/li><\/ul>

                  \u2e3b<\/p>

                  Cancellations<\/b><\/p>

                  • Full refund<\/b> for cancellations made more than 30 days before rental start.<\/li>
                  • Less than 30 days<\/b>: the 20% deposit will be credited towards a future booking.<\/li><\/ul>

                    \u2e3b<\/p>

                    Equipment<\/b><\/p>

                    • All camping equipment is provided and explained at pick-up.<\/li>
                    • Renters are responsible for proper use and care.<\/li>
                    • Lost or damaged items will be charged at replacement cost.<\/li><\/ul>

                      \u2e3b<\/p>

                      Vehicle Return<\/span><\/p>

                      • The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date and time.\u00a0<\/li>
                      • Late returns without prior approval may result in additional charges, including loss of subsequent rental income.<\/li>
                      • Vehicles are handed ober with a full tank and must be returned full (full to full). Refueling reseipts may be requested at drop off.<\/li>
                      • Refueling must be done within 10km of drop off location to allow verification at return.<\/li>
                      • Any damage, excessive cleanig or fuel discrepancies will be assessed according to the Damage & Wear catalog and may result in charges or deposit adjustments.<\/li><\/ul>

                        Fuel Policy<\/span><\/p>

                        • The correct fuel type, as mentioned on the vehicle card and at the handover, must be used<\/li>
                        • The vehicle must be refueled only at name branded fuel stations.<\/li>
                        • Fuel from informal roadside sellers or unbranded source is strictly prohibited.<\/li>
                        • Any damage caused by contaminated or incorrect fuel ist the renter’s responsibility and is not covered by insurance.<\/li><\/ul>

                          Roadside Assistance<\/b><\/p>
